Star Wars: The Star Wars Trilogy

This book is based from the movies from Star Wars episodes four, five and six. The first one is actually written by George Lucas, the creater of Star Wars. I think the movies might actually be based off the books, because the books are much more detailed than the movies. I liked the sixth one, Return of the Jedi the best. In the book, it made it way more easier to understand. The part on the planet Endor, where they are trying to destroy the shield generator was confusing in the movie. Too many different scenes you had to understand and put together. In the book it all made sense and wasn't confusing at all. I think the movie for the fifth episode was better than the book. In the movie they do a much better job with details than in the book. They show the battles and plot better than in the book. The Empire Strikes Back, was also the shortest story in length. That probably helps to explain the less detail. If you like Star Wars, I think you should try to find the book. It made me see the trilogy in a different way.

The Outsiders

I read a book called "The Outiders". It is written by S.E. Hinton. It was actually a really good book. I thought it was one of those books you have to read in school and they are the most terribly boring thing ever. Then I started reading it and the guys name is ponyboy. It made me laugh a little, what a wierd name. Then I started reading more and it started talking about fights and gangs. That's when I started thinking, " this book might actually be pretty good".
Ponyboy and his brother belong to a ganglike group, called the greasers. They are poor underprivlaged children. They get their hair as greasy as possible and long. They take pride in thier hair. Then there is a rival group called the socs. They are rich and spoiled people. They go around in groups jumping greasers who are alone. The greasers accidently kill one of the socs and it starts a huge war. Ponyboy runs away with another greaser to escape the murder charges. Eventually they go back and Ponyboy joins in the battle. All the other greasers watch out for ponyboy though, because he is younger.

One Fish two fish red fish blue fish

Yeah, I did read a Dr. Seuss book and it was AWESOME! I haven't read one for close to five years. I think they got better, even though that is probably really hard to believe. Before i just read them as a little kid to read. Now I read them and think," wow it must be really hard to rhyme so many things and have make as much sense as it does. He also uses repetition, something i didn't realize before. He also has some onomatopeias in it.
He writes, " Bump!
Bump!
Bump!
Did you ever ride a Wump?
We have a Wump
with just one hump.
The way Seuss rhymes, it makes everything roll of your tongue with less effort. I could more words per minute out of one of his books than out of a regular book. He makes his books flow and fun. Something that more readers need to do to get kids hooked on reading. If you haven't read a Dr. Seuss book lately, i say you take the five minutes out of your day to relive some childhood. You'll enjoy it, promise.

Breaking Dawn (Part 3)

I finally finished it! It wasn't as bad as I had heard. There wasn't a huge battle like I had been expecting. That's half the book is preparing for a fight but then it doesn't even happen. It was a big disappointment. I didn't really like the ending that much. They ended up resolving the issue with the Volutri peacefully but then Edward was like they will be back to fight again. The book is over though and there aren't any more in the series coming out so we don't get to know what happens. Bella learns how to take her shield that protects her mind from vampires abilities, and expand it to people around her. This helps when the Volutri come, because there most powerful weapons are two vampires who use their minds to win. Bella even learns how to completely remove the shield from herself and move it somewhere else. At the end of the book she does this so Edward can read her thoughts, and she shows him how much she loves him. How romantic, I know but horrible ending to the book. Then she kept thinking we get to be together forever but the whole time i was thinking what about when they come back to fight, like Edward said they would. I think this was the worst one in the series.

Breaking Dawn (part 2)

This book just got way more interesting. I wouldn't have stopped reading it, if i wasn't so exhausted and hadn't fallen asleep. It is also becoming a little annoying. You read it and think, "ooh Bella is gonna become a vampire. I can't wait to see what problems she encounters with that.". Then you find out she is some perfect vampire girl and your dissapointed. She doesn't even have the same problems other vampires had when they first became bloodsuckers.
So, before confusing you more, i'm goinng to explain more of the book. Bella is pregnant with a demon baby. The baby is half human, half vampire and has a beating heart. The baby craves blood and while inside Bella it wasn't getting it. Bella then drinks gallons of blood to satisfy the baby's cravings and get healthier. The baby grows too big and has to be cut out of Bella. It is and then Bella holds her. The baby bites Bella and she starts dying. Edward has to insert venom into Bella, to turn her into a vampire. Bella goes through alot of pain and wishes for death. Then when she awakes, two days later, she doesn't realize she's a vampire. After she opens her eyes and sees everything in more clarity and can move really fast. Then she gets a craving for blood. Her and Edward go on a hunting trip. While Edward teaches her how to hunt, she smells human blood and goes sprinting at them. Somehow she stops in midchase and runs away from the humans. Edward is amazed by it. They leave the area and go to an uninhabited one and finish hunting. That is how far I got in the book. I liked the first three alot better. This one just seems to have something missing that all the others had.

Breaking Dawn

I am reading the fourth and final book in the Twilight series. It is called "Breaking Dawn" and is by Stephenie Meyer. It is pretty good so far. The characters don't seem to have the same personalities that they did in the other books though. Stephenie also tried something new and wrote the book from Bella's view and some parts from Jacob's view. She kinda had to do this because Bella doesn't get the whole story because she is stuck pregnant in the Cullen's house for half the book.
The book starts out on the day of Bella and Edwards wedding. They get through it, blah blah blah. Then they go on their honeymoon. They go to an island that Edwards parents own somewhere in the Carribean. They get intimate a couple of times and Bella ends up with bruises all over her body and Edward gets mad at himself. He says he won't ever hurt her again like that. Then to everyone's surprise Bella gets pregnant. Noone knew a vampire could get someone pregnent. Its not a normal baby inside Bella's stomach though. Its a demon baby that has accelerated growth so in a day she is months into her pregnency. The baby is killing Bella from the inside and causing her huge amounts of pain. Bella refuses to get rid of the baby, because she wants one really bad and she doesn't care that it is going to kill her. Everyone but Roslie is against the baby. She defends Bella but not because Bella wants her to. Thats where i stopped reading and i'm halfway through the book. Only half way. I need to get reading more.

Raven's Gate

The book I read this week was Raven's Gate and it was written by Anthony Horowitz. It is the first in a series called the gatekeepers. Matt gets blamed for breaking a law that he didn't really break. He was convicted and was given two choices. He could either go serve time in a jail cell or he could live with an old lady named Mrs. Deverill. Mrs. Deverill lives in a town in the middle of nowhere called Lesser Malling. He chose Lesser Malling, I would have chosen jail because he finds alot of surprises living with Mrs. Deverill. An evil plan is about to be initiated in the town. Matt gets put into the middle of the plan too and he just got there. All the people who try to help him dissapear and some even die. Matt is thrown into this mystery that all has to do with Raven's Gate. Raven's Gate is an evil place that is linked with Matt's future. Matt is the only one who can stop the ancient plot that is about to begin. That is how far i got into the book. It is a good science fiction book from what i've read. It is filled with suspense. I didn't see it coming. It sort of reminded me of the book Holes. Stanley Yelnats gets convicted of robbery, even though he didn't. He gets two choices too, jail or go to camp greenlake. He chooses the camp but in the end that turns out to be a good choice unlike for Matt.

Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer (Finally finished it)

I finally finished the amazing book "Eclipse". It was awesome. Stephanie did it again! The beginning didn't seem as slow as the other two books. It was still slow and i read like two-hundred pages in two weeks and the last 300 or so in four days. I lost alot of sleep reading it and now that its done, I don't know what to do with my extra time. Yes i know how dorky that just sounded.
This book had more action than the first two. Stephanie described the fights, unlike in the other two when she skipped over them. The Cullens find out that Victoria is behind the vampire attacks in Seattle. They figure out that she is raising a newborn vampire army. She has nineteen newborns and there are enough Cullens to fight without a couple of them dying in the fight. Bella tells Jacob and the werewolves about it and they decide to form a truths with the Cullens and battle together. They plan for the attack, using Alice's ability to see into the future. Bella makes Edward stay away from the battle with her. While the newborns are battling with everyone else, Victoira finds Edward and Bella. Victoria brings along another newborn who is more matured than the others. Victoria planned on using the newborn as a distraction so she could get Bella. Seth, a werewolf, stayed behind too and he came to help Edward fight. Together Edward and Seth win but they find out Jacob got hurt in the battle. He heals almost all the way but Bella tells Jacob that they can't even be frineds anymore. Edward and Bella get engaged and have Alice plan the wedding. That's where the book ends and i need to borrow the fourth one from my friend NOW!

Eclipse part 2

Now that I finished "The Last Time I Wore a Dress", I can continue reading "Eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer. So far, all of her books seem to have some kind of amazing thing to them. Something that makes you fall in love with them. I haven't found that part in "Eclipse" yet, but I'm sure it will come soon.
Jacob, the werewolf and Edward, a vampire both are in love with Bella. It doesn't help either that werewolf's and vampire's are worst enemy's. Edward wouldn't even let Bella go visit Jacob. One time when Edward had to leave to go hunting, Bella went to visit Jacob. Edward found out and was very angry. He came back from his trip early to make sure Bella was OK. He had to leave after checking up on her, but he made her spend the weekend with his sister. When Bella was at school, Jacob came on a motorcycle and had Bella skip school with him. Jacob said something to Bella that got her really mad at him. She left and when Edward came back he became more understanding of Bella visiting Jacob. That part made me laugh, because when Edward is finally OK with Jacob, Bella doesn't want to see him. Once Edward comes to Bella's he smells a vampire had been there. He said the scent isn't familair so it can't be Victoria. This is were i fell asleep reading at. What a cliffhanger.
Check the series out. I promise you wont' be dissapointed. Start with the first one, "Twilight", then the second, "New Moon", third "Eclipse" and the fourth one "Breaking Dawn".

The last time i wore a dress part 2

I've read some more of this amazing book. I'm almost done. To answer your question, yes it is based on someones life and the person is Daphne Scholinski. That is the girl's name but she changed most of the other people's names to like protect them i guess. It doesn't say why she changed the names that was just my guess.
Basically what happens is the mental institute she is at says that she is too insane and they can't help her. They send her to a new mental institute and they interview her to try and see what is wrong with her. She fakes having alcohol and drug issues. They put her in group with recovering addicts. She tells them she doesn't have a drug problem but they all say she is in denial. After pretty much failing that group she gets moved to a different part of the hospital, for being a possible lesbian. Stupid right, i know. Just cause she likes girls instead of guys she is labeled crazy. She starts to make friends in this part of the mental institute because they don't all consider her a liar. She was mad at the doctors for discovering that she was a lesbian but happy that they moved her. She hated the recovering addicts area.
That is where that I've stopped reading. If you want to borrow the book, sorry don't ask me I'm borrowing it from a friend. Maybe the library has it and if not the book isn't expensive. If you can't find it anywhere ask me and i might be able to get it too you. You need to read this book.

Memoir summary

I am reading the book, The Last Time I Wore A Dress. It is am memoir based from the life of Daphne Scholinski. At first i thought memoirs and autobiography's were boring. Then i starting reading this book and i thought yep, boring. Then i got past the sixth page and things started to get interesting. Now i can barely put the book down to write this.
The first couple of pages, the boring ones, where the ones that made me think the book was for girls. It was about make-up, dresses and all of that girly stuff. Then it stopped with the make-up and started with her life and her challenges.
She grew up without her parents caring about her. Her dad was busy and ashamed of her. Her mom just wanted her gone. When her mom got the chance she sent Daphne to a mental institution. Her mom's excuse was that she dressed too much like a guy and she had gender confusion. I thought that was really stupid; people can wear whatever they want and shouldn't be considered crazy.
One time she went to the store with her dad adn she went to the bathroom. She went into the girls one and as she left, one of the clerks brought her back up to her dad. The clerk thought she was a guy and the dad told the clerk, that she was a girl. Then she went back to the bathroom and a different clerk grabbed her. This clerk brought her to her dad. Instead of telling the clerk she was a girl, the dad pretended she was a guy and slapped her wrist.
The book is good and i recommend it for anyone who likes a good book. It makes you feel bad for her. She did nothing wrong and she got treated badly. It really makes you think about if treating them like that really helps them. Good book, READ IT.

Eclipse summary

I just started reading the book, Eclipse. It seems really good so far, just like the two before it. I'm amazed that I've already read a hundred pages of it, considering that I don't like reading. The beginning was more exciting than in the first two, in my opinion.
It starts off with Bella continuing school school and being grounded because of her actions in the last book. She is also applying to colleges for after high school, even though she is planning on becoming a vampire before then. Then she gets ungrounded, and gets to be with all her friends out of school. She would have chosen to spend all of her extra time with Edward, if it hadn't been for her dad, forcing her to spend time with other people too.
Bella and Edward go to school like a normal day, until they get there and see Jacob Black. Jacob is Bella's friend who is a werewolf. He wanted to talk to Edward about Victoria, a vampire out to kill Bella to revenge the death of her mate. Edward had hidden the return of Victoria from Bella. This is where I've stopped reading.
The book has me caught in its netting of page-turning thrillers. If it wasn't for me going to bed early for school, I would have finished the book by now. I recommend reading it, even if the rest of it is bad.
