Lord of the Flies
For class I read Lord of the Flies by William Golding. The book was actually better than what i had expected. Some parts of it were super hard and confusing but i'm pretty sure i understand the book pretty well now. A bunch of boys on a plane crashland on an island. Ralph becomes the voted leader of the group much to the disliking of Jack. The two go through a power struggle through the whole book. Ralph puts Jack in charge of hunting. At first Jack justifys his constant hunting by saying they want meat but later it turns into him becoming savage. The boys think their is a beast on the island but really its inside all of them. Almost all of the boys on the island are hunting and looking for the beast. A bunch of the boys end up dying as everyone becomes more savage on the island. They believe the beast can change shapes so they killed Simon, the only one who knew the truth about the beast. They end up getting rescued but only after becoming animals at heart. This causes them to reflect on all that they had done on the island.
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
I read Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover. It like the other two books follows the plot from the third movie (the sixth movie made). It also has a pretty awesome looking cover. I didn't really like the third movie because it didn't have enough action and good scenes. The book was actually really good. You could picture got a much better sense for Anakin's transformation to the dark side. It the third book has the longest storyline out of all of the episodes. It is very confusing if you don't understand a part of the book. It starts off with Anakin and Obi-Wan rescuing Chancellor Palpatine from General Greivous even though it was all staged by Palpatine. Then they return to Courescaunt alot of drama goes on. Anakin finds out Palpatine is the evil Sith Lord. He informs Mace Windu and Mace tries to take down Palpatine. He almost succeeds until Anakin kills Windu and saves Palpatine. Anakin from then on is with the Sith and is known as Darth Vader. I'm not gonna ruin the rest of it for you but that sets the plot for the rest of the series.
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
I read Attack of Clones by R.A. Salvatore. It is a Star Wars book based off of the second movie (the fifth movie made). It, like the first book, follows the story plot of the movie but goes into more detail. Basically, if you like the movies your gonna like the book. Also, during the movie some parts confused me but after reading the book they all make sense. Reading the book helped me to see things from a different view because in a book you know the character's thoughts while in a movie you usually do not. The movie starts off with an assasination attempt on Senator Amidalla's life. It fails and as a result two jedi, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobe are assigned to guard her. When another attempt is made the jedi track down the bounty hunter and trace it all the way back to a planet called Geonosis. On Geonosis, the confederate army mostley made up of droids are a having a meeting at one of their factories. The two jedi and Padme get captured and are put into a colleseum where they are pitted agains fierce animals. They kill the animals but then all the people in the colleseum are about to attack, when back up arrives. The Republic with their new clone army and a bunch of other jedi all attack and save the day. They chase Count Dooku but he manages to escape. Then back on Courescaunt Yoda says, "Master Obi-Wan not victory. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun, this Clone War has!"

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
I read Star Wars: The Phantom Menace writtien by Terry Brooks. The book came from the movie and screenplay written by George Lucas. The book follows the movie beautifully and it even adds in more detail. It tells you about some Anakin's podraces before the Jedi arrive. Droids take over the planet of Naboo hoping to get the Queen to sign a treety. Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan rescue the Queen and escape to the planet of Tatooine. They need to get parts to fix their ship. Tatooine doesn't accept the Jedi's kind of money so they have to bet on a nine-year old boy and a podrace. The little boy, Anakin, wins the race and he goes with the Jedi because they think he might be the "chosen one". Once back at Courescant (i know i didn't spell that right) Qui-Gon tells Yoda about the invasion on Naboo. The Queen goes back to her planet and they free if from the droids. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon get into a lightsaber battle with a sith named Darth Maul. Maul kills Qui-Gon but Obi-Wan avenges his master and kills Darth Maul.
